Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your call.

How does the delivery process actually work, and how long does it take?

The process runs in five stages from our first call to a finished, working system.

  1. Desktop analysis. We use your floor plans to model coverage before anyone visits, and prepare an initial budgetary quote.
  2. On-site survey. One of our engineers surveys your building floor by floor. One day, no impact on your team.
  3. Fixed-price quote. No hidden fees. You sign off, or you don't.
  4. Installation. Our own engineers fit the system, scheduled around your working day. Most offices are fully operational the same day or the day after.
  5. Validation, handover, and ongoing support. Same team for the life of the system.

Total timeline is typically two to six weeks depending on building size. Disruption is much less than most people expect, since most cabling work happens above suspended ceilings or in cable trays.

How much does this cost?

There isn't a single number. Pricing depends entirely on your building. A multi-floor office is different from a warehouse, which is different from a hospital wing. What stays consistent is the structure of every quote.

Every quote covers five components:

  • The survey, which is free. We don't ship a quote until that's done.
  • Cel-Fi equipment sized to your building.
  • DAS infrastructure that distributes signal across every room.
  • Installation labour from our own engineers.
  • Ongoing support, built in upfront or paid annually.

No hidden fees. No change orders mid-install. The price we quote after the survey is the price you pay.

Why this specific approach, and is it actually legal?

There are three ways to fix in-building mobile signal in the UK.

  • Cheap online boosters, most of which are illegal here. Ofcom can compel you to remove them.
  • Neutral host small cells, typically only economic for very large buildings.
  • Distributed antenna systems based on Cel-Fi, which is what we install.

Cel-Fi is the only mobile signal range with full Ofcom licence-exempt status under the 2018 regulations. Fully legal, every UK network covered, 5G-ready so it doesn't need ripping out in three years.

And we use our own engineers because in-building wireless is precision work. Subcontracted installers create accountability gaps when something needs fixing later. Same team start to finish. That's how we stand behind the money-back guarantee.

What happens after install? Are we locked in?

First, every install comes with our money-back guarantee. If we don't deliver the coverage we agreed, you don't pay.

Beyond that, the ongoing relationship has three parts:

  • Remote monitoring through the Cel-Fi WAVE portal. We can see how the system is performing without coming back on-site.
  • Support response from the same engineers who installed it. Most issues are resolved remotely.
  • System longevity. Cel-Fi hardware lasts seven to ten years with normal maintenance.

You're not locked in. The hardware is yours. If you ever wanted another firm to support it later, the system would still work. Support is an optional annual maintenance contract, modest in cost relative to the install itself.

How disruptive is the install to my office?

Much less than most people expect.

The survey takes one day with no impact on your team. The installation itself is phased around your meetings, H&S requirements, and peak hours. For most offices the bulk of the work happens during a normal working week without disrupting business. For larger or busier sites we work after hours or over a weekend.

Most cabling work happens above suspended ceilings, behind risers, or in cable trays. Tidy, planned, and rooms don't go out of use for days at a time.

Bottom line: most offices are fully operational the same day install completes, or the day after.

Will this work for all the networks our team uses?

Yes. The Cel-Fi systems we install cover every UK mobile network: EE, O2, Vodafone, and Three.

That also covers every MVNO that runs on those networks, including Tesco Mobile, giffgaff, BT Mobile, Sky Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Smarty, Lebara, and Lyca. If anyone in your building uses a UK SIM card, our system will boost their signal.

This means no one in your team needs to switch providers for the system to work for them.
